About

Why nursing, why now

For over a decade, my work has centered on one constant: showing up for people during some of the biggest, most stressful moments of their lives — guiding them through 35,000 feet of turbulence, the largest purchase they'll ever make, or a stressful afternoon on a sales floor.

As a Delta flight attendant since 2015, I've learned to stay calm, clear, and in command when things go sideways, because someone's safety and peace of mind depend on it. As a top-producing luxury real estate advisor, I've learned to listen for what someone actually needs before they know how to ask for it, and to earn trust fast, under pressure, with total strangers. Nursing is the natural next chapter of that same instinct: to notice, to steady, and to care for people at their most vulnerable — this time, at the bedside instead of the boarding gate. That instinct is also why I keep showing up on weekends to feed neighbors experiencing homelessness, sit with veterans between flights, and volunteer on medical mission trips. Emory's nursing program is where I want to formalize that calling into a clinical practice.

I see this as the first step of a longer path: earning my BSN at Emory, building hands-on clinical experience as a bedside RN, and ultimately pursuing a CRNA program — each stage laying the clinical judgment and patient trust required for the next.
